Eric Swalwell finally serves lawsuit on Mo Brooks after 3 months of trying

Representatives of Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) have finally served a lawsuit that alleges Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Ala.) and different pro-Trump allies bear accountability for the Capitol riot, the Republican congressman stated Sunday.

Why it issues: Swalwell had been trying since March to serve the swimsuit on Brooks. Attorneys for the Democrat stated final Wednesday they’d hired a private investigator to find Brooks.

What they’re saying: “Well, Swalwell FINALLY did his job, served complaint (on my WIFE),” Brooks tweeted.

  • He alleged that the Democratic lawmaker’s staff illegally trespassed within the course of, “accosting my wife!” He did not elaborate additional, although he added: “More to come!”
